Earthly Treasure is a non-profit initiative of The Landbanking Group, dedicated to supporting indigenous peoples, local communities, and smallholder farmers—the true guardians of Earth’s ecosystems.

What is Earthly Treasure
As The Landbanking Group's non-profit social impact arm, Earthly Treasure works directly with the Indigenous Peoples and local communities involved in conservation projects.
Our primary role is to safeguard their interests, ensuring their rights are honored and they participate meaningfully in decisions.
We deliver essential training—such as ecosystem monitoring—and help open fair and transparent access to natural capital markets. Our goal is to ensure that communities are not only respected as key partners, but also rightfully recognized and compensated for their role as stewards of the land.

Our purpose
Across the globe, local communities, smallholder farmers and Indigenous Peoples take care of more than half the world’s land.
Yet they are often the last to receive capital, technology, or policy support. Without them, we cannot halt biodiversity loss or achieve climate resilience.
Earthly Treasure exists to flip that script. Real environmental stewardship starts with the people who know the land best.

Mission and social responsibility
At Earthly Treasure, we honor the deep connection between people and planet. Our mission is rooted in respect—for Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and smallholder farmers who have long safeguarded our Earth’s most vital ecosystems.
We exist to uphold human and community rights at every step of every project. Through inclusion, transparency, and collaboration, we collaborate with those whose lives are inextricably tied to the land—amplifying their voices and championing their leadership.
Earthly Treasure stands for balance between honoring ancestral practices and exploring new opportunities. We help communities:
- Sustain traditional livelihoods
- Launch bio-economy initiatives
- Participate meaningfully in conservation finance
We keep communities at the center of every decision, ensuring their leadership shapes outcomes. By doing so, we help regenerate biodiversity, protect ecosystems, and celebrate the legacies of those who have long walked in harmony with nature.

Our principles
We show up fully and humbly.
We listen deeply and learn continuously.
We honor every voice and walk gently on shared ground.
What we do
Safeguards
Every Earthly Treasure project applies a Social and Environmental Safeguards Framework that ensures community rights are respected. This framework is applied throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on inclusivity, transparency, and the protection of Indigenous Peoples and smallholder farmers.
Technical training and support
We deliver hands‑on training in areas such as biodiversity monitoring, natural capital accounting, and climate-smart agriculture, enabling communities to manage their land sustainably and effectively engage in nature-based markets.
Market access & partnerships
We connect communities with impact investors and other market players, fostering fair and transparent financial partnerships.
Tech & Innovation
From satellite snapshots to phone‑based soil tests, we place affordable tech where it’s needed most.
Advocacy
We bring the perspectives of local communities to national and global policy tables so rules are written with them, not for them.
Funding support
We help communities access funding and investment opportunities to support community-driven projects in ecosystem restoration and sustainable agriculture.
How we work
Our process consists in working together with the project originators to map out all the communities, families and stakeholders that will be affected by the project and could eventually get benefits from it. We engage with indigenous peoples and local communities as decision makers to develop the project together following a safeguards protocol.
- Listen – Meet communities, map hopes and challenges.
- Co‑design – Shape projects together, blending tradition with science.
- Equip & Train – Provide the local community with the required tools and skills to benefit from the project.
- Measure Impact – Continuously track the environmental and social impact of the project.
- Reinvest & Scale – Channel every surplus euro into the next community‑led solution.
Our vision
We foresee a world where nature’s true value is recognised alongside those who protect it.

Who we are
Earthly Treasure transcends the conventional non-profit model. We are a movement—the vital force driving The Landbanking Group's social impact vision. Our purpose centers on honoring the authentic guardians of our planet: indigenous peoples, local communities, and smallholder farmers whose ancestral wisdom and daily practices embody true environmental stewardship.
