Estimates the soil organic carbon stock in the top 30 cm of soil based on a predictive baseline model.

methodology

Data is extracted and aggregated on field level from the machine-learning based predictions of soil organic carbon stocks available in the global ISRIC Soilgrids dataset.

validation

Models have been evaluated in their general performance against reference data and plausibility. The validation for the soil organic carbon baseline model has been peer-reviewed (De Sousa, 2020).
